Let's go Racing Boys!

Some of you may find this hard to believe, but after I
went to my 1st NASCAR race a few years ago, I have been hooked.
So, this night I took the boys to see some of
the big drivers at a local short track race.
We are able to see Denny Hamlin, who is a
guy from our town, Tony Stewart, and Kyle Busch.
The boys waited in line to meet Bobby Allison.
Here they are with a legend-Bobby Allison.

Thanks for the tickets Carole. We had fun!

This is just because shes so Cute.

Sorry, there is no reason for these pictures other than she
looks so cute. This last picture is at a baseball game
and she has this cute little "boyfriend" that
likes to play with her.

Spring means... Baseabll, Baseball, Baseball

So Pretty much every night except for Sunday is spent
at a baseball field. So, it is a good thing that we love it.
The boys have been doing really well. Casey has done a
great job pitching. Look at the determination on this face.
His team has not lost a game yet!
But if there were ever a lover of the game, it is Colby!
He loves every part of it. He plays either pitcher or
shortstop. His team too, is undefeated.
Riley and Ryan are able to play on the same team this year. Steve
has been a assistant coach on their team.

This is before we jump in the car and head to the field.

Time for a TEA PARTY!

As a family, we headed to Richmond for the
Tea Party. It was exciting to be with a large crowd
of people who all want the same things. Smaller
government, lower taxes and less spending!
I made several signs and despite the weather,
it felt good to stand up and fight for what we stand for!

Easter Morning

I always love Easter. Not only because we celebrate the resurrection
of our Savior, but I know that spring has come. With flowers blooming,
trees budding and a new warmth is in the air. What a beautiful time
of year. The kids enjoyed Easter morning. It is always fun
to watch them chase after eggs in the yard, then open them up in delight.

Day 6 of Spring Break...Busch Gardens

What a beautiful day to spend at Busch Gardens! The temperature
was in the 70's and the crowds were not bad. It may
look from these pictures that Maddie was the only
child I took, but that is not the case. I did take all the
kids, but the older boys went on the roller coasters
with friends and while Casey and Colby went on some rides
that were still to big for Maddie, her and I spent some time
doing the "little" rides.
She is so much like me when it comes to rides!
The more the merrier!

Happy 14th Anniversary Steve!!

It is hard to beleive that 14 years has gone by since
Steve and I were married! Where does the time go?
I guess the time has been spent raising 5 beautiful children, and seeing them
grow into fabulous individuals.
Renovating our 1st house, then building a
new house. Going through ups and downs with jobs.
Traveling and creating memories. And just spending time together!
I love you Steve! You are my best friend. Thanks for all the
laughs!

Weekend in the Sun!

The kids are on spring break this week, so we decided to take the
motor home down to Myrtle Beach for the weekend.
It was such beautiful weather and nice to get away.
Ryan spent a lot of time flying a kite that I had brought.

Colby and Casey had fun digging for China!
Where we stay there is always plenty
to do. They have a few pools, parks, arcades, places to
fish and mini putt-putt. We like to ride the golf cart around and
just people watch. Our campsite is about 30 feet from the beach so
we have a awesome view. In the morning I enjoy waking up and taking
a walk around the campground.
Our campsite.

Day 4 of Spring Break... Bowling

So today, we decided to head to the bowling alley for
our free game of golf. The kids really love to bowl because they
can be competitive with one anther. Ryan was gone this day,
because he had gone up to the Washington D.C. temple with
the youth from church.

Maddies 1st Haircut

Today was kind of a sad day for me. I would have let Maddies
baby hair grow to the ground, but the time finally came that she needed
a trim. I took her to a really fun salon called Divas and Dudes that
caters to children. As you can see, they have these fun seats for them to
sit in while they watch movies. Basically anything to get them to
sit still.

The final product! She looks so grown up.
This is some of the "entertainment" they have for the
kids while they wait their fate.
